I just got back from a shinny game where, other than Dan, I could have been everyone’s father. Note that I am extremely sore now. Owieee!

In other news, ER II just hit year 60 on the throne, and my model-railway association listserv (do we still call them that? Is that another mark in the “old” column?) has been full of “Where were you when you learned that George VI died” reminisces. I think my dad was just figuring out how to get a gleam in his eye.
