Unfortunately, our furnace broke last night. Fortunately, we are in the middle of some unseasonably warm weather. Norms are a -5c high, -15c low, but we didn’t even get below freezing last night.
Yes, that’s right, I just blogged about the weather.
I also went to the Sens/Oilers game for “Hockey Day in Canada” last weekend. The Nordiques Nation attended too. More than a thousand Nordiques supporters showed up all the way from Quebec City, using the national spotlight to rally for the team to be brought back. It made the atmosphere in the rink more fun, as they did a countdown and cheer whenever the 16 minute mark came (16 being the number of years since the Nordiques left Quebec City). Had I known they were coming, I might have borrowed Paul’s t-shirt to wear under my Senators sweater. Sparty did, though I never had the camera ready when he flashed the crowd the bleu et blanc. Too bad!
