This morning was nice; not too hot, not too cold.\u00a0 Dan and I were cycling along Timm Road to work, looking for a fine example of the ridiculous potholes that line the bike lane.\u00a0 I saw the perfect specimen on the other side of the road, one with a nice rubber tube sticking out of it (seriously).\u00a0 Checked ahead, no cars. Shoulder check, no cars… Except there was one.\u00a0 I did my u-turn to look at the pothole, heard a screech (it is an 80 km\/h zone) and a honk and saw a bumper just missing my back tire.<\/p>\n

To the driver, I’m sorry.\u00a0 I don’t know why I didn’t see you, maybe I was tired and not paying attention, maybe I was distracted by the shiny thing (aka the pothole), point is, I didn’t.<\/p>\n

Also, thank you for being attentive.\u00a0 This is all I’ve been thinking about this morning. The what if.<\/p>\n
