I have started my new adventure – a quilt like craft!

I am not going to make a quilt. Firstly, apparently, it is really difficult to do and secondly, at present time, I have no need for another blanket.

I am making individual quilted squares (well not actually squares, rectangles) with pockets on the opposite side.

First step was to pick out fabrics and arrange them. I decided to go with square in square motif as that seems an easy starter. Cutting the fabric was actually quite fun, what proved to be more difficult was selecting the combinations.

I immediately loved the first two squares I put together. After some fussing, I got another one that was not too bad. However, the last three were just not happening. I decided to proceed anyway and just consider the last three the ugly ducklings.
