It has been almost two months since we’ve started getting veggies from the Riverglen farm. So far, so good. I am glad we are splitting boxes with friends though because each weekly the box contains much more veggies than we eat and getting a single box every two weeks would be half as much fun.
My problem with veggies is that I don’t really care for them so I usually just get the veggies I dislike the least and force myself to cook them when I am making a full meal. Though I always make a point of having some veggies in the fridge, too often they stay there longer than they should.
Now that we are signed up with the farm, not only do we get a different set of fresh, local, seasonal veggies every week, but I have so far been successful in preparing them and using them up by the end of the week. The boxes are getting fuller though so I hope I will be able to keep up.
