Instead of blathering on about it every other day, I’ve decided to add a progress bar for the Wheel of Time. Look to my right, err, your right! Err, the sidebar! OK, so this thing isn’t perfect (the end seems to be hanging off a bit), but it’ll do. I came to 10000 pages because that’s how many (I assume) are in my editions. I know the last one isn’t out yet, but the first fourteen books (including New Spring) come to 9173, and it is conceivable that the last one could hit 827 pages (Towers of Midnight is a hefty 843).
Anyone know how to shrink that progress bar so it fits?
Chris,
Looks like the CSS could be modified to make it fit.
Your sidebar is at 191px (.content-sidebar{width:191px;display:inline-block;overflow:hidden;vertical-align:top;}
)
The widget is only 188px and should fit, but the margins and padding are most likely extending the width. (.content-sidebar .textwidget, .content-sidebar select{padding:3px;margin:10px 2px 10px 2px;width:188px;}
)
Either reduce the width of the widget, or remove the padding and/or margin.
Hope that helps.
Awesome! Thanks, Adam! (I also prettied it up, since I had to mess with the css anyway 😉 )
And I added a EotW bar so my future doesn’t look quite so bleak!
Can we have a little chart of sentiments toward the series over time too? 🙂 For a fiver, I’ll bet you when that rocketing line begins to fall.
I’m actually going to take it easy, so I don’t get WoT exhaustion. After I finish book 1 (tonight, hopefully) I have Changeless to read, book 2 of 5 in the Parasol Protectorate series by Gail Carriger. Then on to The Great Hunt!
